Marian Myers

General Manager, Xigera Safari Lodge

I am a city-girl living a bush life. In 2008, I married well-known guide, wildlife photographer and bush pilot Mike Myers and that is when my bush-living began. We moved to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, and I accompanied him on his regular forays into the bush.

Before embarking on a bush life, I was in the corporate space in Johannesburg. While working full-time as General Manager, I am also mother to two grown-up daughters and a Staffordshire Terrier called Nandi.

In September 2018, we joined Red Carnation Hotels when the collection acquired it's 18th property – a beautiful safari lodge right in the heart of the Okavango Delta, in the Moremi Game Reserve. Together with Mike, we are the management couple looking after Xigera. It is an opportunity of a lifetime to live and work in possibly one of the most beautiful areas of the Okavango Delta, in the midst of people who are enriching to work with.

Xigera is poised to showcase the beauty of Botswana, its 1000th Natural Heritage site, the Okavango Delta and her people to the world.
