Charles Haupt Custom Made Metalwork

Bronze Age Studio in Woodstock, Cape Town, is responsible for an extraordinary amount of custom-made metalwork at Xigera Safari Lodge. Led by sculptor Otto du Plessis and industrial designer Charles Haupt, studio has fostered a new regard for bronze as a modern material equally suited to traditional sculpture as it is to contemporary design.

The warmth and tactility of handcrafted bronze, copper and brass surfaces subtly illuminate the camp’s interiors.
